Exodus 2: 1-25

As the baby boys of Israel are commanded to be thrown into the Nile, one family keeps their boy safe.  That boy would become Moses who was drawn out of the waters of the Nile and would one day save His people.  Jesus came as a baby boy, just like Moses.  And He would one day give up His life to save His people.  And Jesus gives us His means of grace to bless us and bring us salvation.  In the waters of Baptism He draws us to Himself, calling us His dearly loved children.  In the Lord’s Supper He gives us His body and blood.  In the words of Absolution He gives us forgiveness.  And in the Word, the Scriptures, He gives us the words of eternal life.  All for our forgiveness, life, and salvation, because He loves us.
